We are René van Wingerden and Marlies van Wingerden – van Overbeek. Since August 2021, we have been the proud owners of Fryske Strawberries in Berlikum, Frisian. Our strawberries grow on an area of about 5 hectares. Half grows inside the greenhouse and the other half grows outside in tunnels and on racks. We do this in a sustainable manner, with as few resources as possible and by using as many natural enemies as possible. We also focus on gas-free cultivation and use the residual heat and CO2 from the adjacent company. We believe sustainable cultivation is important.
